Generally speaking: the less luggage you bring with you the more comfortable you will travel. The tours lead through three climes, ie even in Australia you could experience cool and rainy days especially when travelling southern Australia.
You should therefore bring a good sleeping bag with you. the camping equipment (tents etc) will be provided. We also provide basic sleeping mats. If you prefer it a bit more comfortable, please bring your own inflatable mattress (eg Therma-Rest or Lilo). You have to wear a helmt througout Australia. Full face helmets have proved of value (flying gravel, dust, sunburn).
Light-coloured leather or Goretex clothes have proved value with every climate.
If your motorcycle clothing is not waterproof, you should also bring rain jacket and trousers. Gloves are a must in any case.
Motorcycle boots or high hiking boots are proper for riding a motorbike even in Australia. Kidney belt and and scarf should go without saying. Otherwise, we recommend hard-wearing clothing, eg Jeans, cotton T-shirts etc. In case of cooler days and nights, you should bring a sweater, long johns and woollen socks.
You should not forget to pack sandals or sneakers and above all swimming things, as even in the bush we will often have the opportunity to have a swim in a pool or under a waterfall. It would be best to pack all your things in one or two bigger sportsbags or the like. If possible do not use a rucksack with aluminium frame (due to stowage difficulties in our service vehicle).
We strongly recommend to take out a travel health/accident insurance.
